Tzoliné et le Poisson d’Or

French language project

“Tzoliné et le Poisson d’Or” (Tzoliné and the golden fish), is inspired by an armenian fairy tale.

The Akhtamar String Quartet and the narrator Toinette Lafontaine are giving life to four heroines: a Weaver Queen, a Princess banned from her kingdom, a mysterious traveller and mute Princess.

With the music of Komitas, they will guide you through an extraordinary and unforgetable journey.

Jeunesses Musicales Wallonie-Bruxelles

French language project

For the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons, the Akhtamar String Quartet is part of the “Jeunesses Musicales” tour. Come to dicover the adventures of Nazan, the hero of our armenian music fairy tale (3 to 12 years old) and also our show “Classiques du grand répertoire, à la carte!” (12 to 18 years old).

Our show is based on a traditional armenian fairy tale. It is about a young violinist, Nazan, going far from his home to seek for friendship and adventures. The musics are from Komitas, Haydn, Ravel and Glass.

The students are invited to pick up the musical pieces they will hear in a hat. Each of the musical piece will be preceded or folowed by an explanation, a story, a picture, a poem…

The Quartet will guide you through a musical journey, from the 18th century to nowadays. The composers are french, austrian, armenian, belgian… Every music has its story!
